After having visited and photographed Pemaquid Point, I finally had the opportunity to go inside to photograph and climb the tower and to photograph from the lantern room.  This is an opportunity that lighthouse enthusiasts visiting this light shouldn't miss if the lighthouse is open.

The photograph above is looking from the lantern room along the length of Pemaquid Point to the point itself, the view that the keeper would have had.

The photograph to the left was shot looking more or less south east in the direction of Monhegan Island, which you can't see because of reflections from the inside of the lantern room, although can see a reflection of the Fresnel lens just to the right of the left window post if you look carefully.
