These
photos were shot at St Joseph at the end of January 2004 from
various locations in Tiscornia Park, on the north pier itself,
and from atop the ice dunes. In the latter case, where I was shooting
from was actually far out over the lake itself atop an ice dune
that stood 20 feet or more above the frozen lake surface. Extreme
caution and boots with steel cleats are a must to venture out
onto the ice! The difference in the extent to which the lake froze
up in two weeks is remarkable. Gale photos on the preceeding gallery
