The Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station has a spectacular collection of Fresnel lenses on display, including the magnificent 1st order Fresnel lens that was originally housed in the lantern room of the Cape Canaveral lighthouse that was moved to prevent further damage to the lens caused by space shuttle liftoffs. The images on this page were shot of the light refracting and reflecting in that big, rotating Fresnel lens. The mosaic composite was assembled from more than 20 photos shot of this spectacular lens!
