Long Beach Bar lighthouse is located off the Western Tip of Orient Beach State Park at the entrance to Orient Harbor. The original lighthouse built in 1870 was a two story wooden structure on a screwpile base that was changed to concrete in 1924 to allow the installation of central heat. The lighthouse originally housed a 5th order Fresnel lens.
