55 Below!: The day this photo was taken at the South Haven lighthouse, the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, 2000, the wind chill was 55 degrees below zero! You had about 15 sec when you peeled your gloves off before your fingers started to go numb from the cold to shoot a frame. My Nikon F5 was undaunted, however, and worked flawlessly for the approximately 2 hrs that I shot with it that day!
