This is my favorite pano of the South Haven lighthouse. This photo of a sun pillar was shot on a cold evening in January. A sun pillar is caused by a gazillion flat ice crystals in the upper atmosphere that act as little mirrors, reflecting the light of the sunset after the sun has gone below the horizon back to the viewer, creating anapparent column of light in the process.
