View from the Pigeon Point lantern room looking along the coast to the south toward Prisoner Rock. Prisoner Rock (more distant rock with the wave breaking on the seaward side) is named for the fishermen who go out to fish from the rock at low tide, some of who are trapped there by the tide flowing in, making them "prisoners" until the next low tide.
