A pair of senic byways span the length of Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, and a portion of the shore of the St Lawrence River in New York.  In October 2008, I photographed along the entire length of both trails, covering a round trip distance from my current home in New Jersey of 2124 miles!  The streaming "video" is a  photographic chronicle of that trip.

The Lake Erie Ohio Coastal Trail begins in western Ohio at Toledo and winds its way along the lakeshore eastward for 293 miles.  The Seaway Trail begins with the lighthouses in Erie, Pennsylvania and includes 29 lighthouses spanning 504 miles to the east along the shore of Lake Ontario and then along the St Lawrence River.

Click the photo below to launch a Photodex Presenter page.

If you don't have the plug-in (it's most likely you won't) you'll get a screen you can download it from on the Photodex.com website.  Download the plug-in and install it and you'll be able to view the slide show.

When that page loads, click the "slide" in the middle of the screen to launch the presentation.  It runs a little over 11 minutes and contains ~250 slides.  You need to be on a fast internet connection for the slide show to run smoothly!

Note: since this is a streaming presentation, the forward/backward, pause, and stop buttons have limited function on the pop-up screen that the presentation runs on.  The stop button will take you back to the starting slide.  The pause button will stop the presentation on a given slide.  You can resume the presentation by clicking the start button.  The forward/backward buttons will allow you to move in the appropriate direction but the presentation will resume streaming when the time for a given slide has elapsed.
